Carcosa's Future

As the year rolls to an end, what will happen to this grand place which was once the home of British governors in Malaya? It had been converted into a luxurious hotel with 13 rooms in 2004. The hotel will be closed on 31 December 2009.

 

It will then be up for redevelopment. The government does not have any concrete plans as yet (or is not disclosing the details), but have said that it had given a tender to an interested party to redevelop the property.
