Maybank was incorporated on 31 May 1960 and commenced operations on 12 September 1960. On 17 February 1962, the bank was listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now known as Bursa Malaysia).
Menara Maybank is the headquarters of Maybank.
The height of this tower is 244 meters and it used to be the tallest building in Kuala Lumpur before the Petronas Towers. There are 50 floors on this tower.
The architect is Hijjas Kasturi Associates, an architectural firm credited for the design of many modern skyscrapers in KL since 1978. It also designed the LUTH and the Menara Telekom building.
The Maybank Numismatic Museum is located on the 1st Floor of this building.
