Avalokitesvara (National Heritage Artefacts)
This statue was found in a tin mine belonging to the Anglo Oriental at Bidor, Perak, in 1936. It was made of bronze and has eight arms, one of which is broken. It is dated some time between the 7th and the 12th century AD when the culture or the region was Hindu-Buddhist.
The statue weighs 63 kg and stands at 93 cm tall.
