Scam Alert - Durian

This happenned at a popular "mamak" restaurant in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, recently.

As I was having my roti canai at Raju's, a decent looking youth came up to
me with a durian with a window opened to show its nice and tempting flesh
inside.

Yummy, so I thought, and so followed this chap to his van.

The van was half-filled with durians. He casually told his burly buddy that this boss (that's me) wanted to buy. This burly chap just picked a huge durian and proceeded to open it.

In a quick manner he opened 3 fruits, before I could indicate to him that I only wanted one fruit. I quickly stopped him and said that I actually wanted one only.

To which he replied "What am I going to do with these 3 opened durians?"

I asked him how much it would cost, and he answered "RM280.00"!

I uttered, "That's robbery."

However, I sensed that I am been cornered, and said sternly that I am only
willing to pay RM120.00 max for the durians.

To cut the long story short, I settled for RM200.00

The moral of this is?

"Don't mess with these con-men, robbers, schemers, or what-they're-called."

Just walk away when approached. Life is a long process of painful learning, and I just trying to share my experience with you and hopefully it won't happen to you.
